Part 4of8 of the Seahawks player grades from the Chargers game. QuarterbacksOffensive Linemen and Running Backs have already been posted. This is a series that will go position by position, player by player evaluating the single game performance of the players on the Seahawks roster.

Tight End

1) Anthony McCoy (A-)

John Carlson was unable to play on saturday so Anthony played 1st team 2nd TE and 2nd team 1st TE. He was the highest graded TE last week as well receiving a B+.

THE GOOD:

Anthony did a solid job both as a blocker and a receiver. He was able to drive a linebacker out of the running lane and did a solid job sealing the edge so the running back was free to get to the outside. On one play in the passing game he really sold the pass block and snuck out to the flat without the defense noticing. Once again he showed his ability to locate the soft spot in the zone including the play where he found empty turf in the back of the end zone for a touchdown. He was targeted four times and finished the game with 4 receptions and a touchdown.

THE BAD:

On a blitz to his side he ran right by the blitzing linebacker. If McCoy just chips his shoulder on that play Tarvaris has enough time to make the throw.

2) Dominique Byrd and Ryan Travis (C)

Last week Byrd received a C+ and Travis did not play.

4) Zach Miller (C-)

He spent time helping Tyler Polumbus with Jared Allen. Last week he received a C- as well.

THE GOOD:

Zach showed off his stiff arm hitting the defender and picking up the first down. He was able to go 1:1 against the defensive end and stand him up in pass protection. On the end around he crashed down and sealed the edge of the line.

THE BAD:

He missed a cut block, had a false start, was late getting off the ball on a goal line play and on a run block got thrown out of the way by a defender.
